We often come to therapy to address painful events and explore how they have impacted us. However, Jin believes our experiences, whether joyful or painful, are worth exploring. All of these can foster inner strength and resilience. Because of these beliefs, it motivated her to become a student therapist in the Master’s of Marriage and Family Therapy program at Trinity Western University. She has always been curious about the purpose in life and what it means to be human. She also believes that our mind and body are connected, and our life experiences impact our physical, mental, and emotional states. She is interested in learning from a holistic perspective. She draws from experiential approaches such as Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Satir therapy. She looks forward to working with clients from all walks of life.
