Caleb Silveira is a master’s student in Marriage and Family Therapy at Trinity Western University. He has previous degree of Master of Arts in Theology and Culture, with a concentration in Classics. He is passionate about the transformative and powerful healing capabilities of therapy, especially considering hard times and life’s ongoing complexities. Caleb believes safe and authentic, connection-focused, exploration of hardships can lead to beatific and transformative change. He believes it is a privilege to sit with and hear people’s stories and life experiences while working to achieve meaningful self-exploration and change. Caleb is currently training and learning an emotions-based and systemic model of therapy which considers a holistic approach—acknowledging the multi-faceted nature of what it means to be human. He is interested in working with anyone who is struggling emotionally, having relationship difficulties, feels stuck, and or feels that life is more broadly working against them.

We often come to therapy to address painful events and explore how they have impacted us. However, Jin believes our experiences, whether joyful or painful, are worth exploring. All of these can foster inner strength and resilience. Because of these beliefs, it motivated her to become a student therapist in the Master’s of Marriage and Family Therapy program at Trinity Western University. She has always been curious about the purpose in life and what it means to be human. She also believes that our mind and body are connected, and our life experiences impact our physical, mental, and emotional states. She is interested in learning from a holistic perspective. She draws from experiential approaches such as Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Satir therapy. She looks forward to working with clients from all walks of life.

Kaleigh is currently a student in the Marriage and Family Therapy program at Trinity Western University. She is grateful to now be in-training as a professional therapist, and she feels honored to sit with people and hear their stories. She believes that people are resilient, and sometimes we just need someone to travel with us in our experiences and relationships. In her studies, she has been drawn to emotion-based models of therapy for individuals, along with aspects from Bowen and Internal Family Systems therapy. She believes in creating a safe space to explore relational, emotional, and spiritual parts of life, while supporting each person as they create their own healing journey.

Shirley is a graduate student at Trinity Western University, pursuing a master’s degree in Couples and Family Therapy. She brings extensive experience supporting children and their families as they navigate challenges and address attachment needs. Shirley is dedicated to working with parents, equipping and empowering them to foster strong connections with their children and with each other. She also has a keen interest in supporting children and youth as they navigate various stages and challenges of life. Shirley adopts a systemic approach to understanding family dynamics and recognizes the importance of how these relationships shape how we navigate our world. She is passionate about empowering individuals to grow in confidence and strengthen their relationships. Shirley respects that each person is the expert of their own life and considers it a privilege to be part of their journey. Fundamentally, she views counselling work as personal growth, accelerating our ability to find and sustain joy, connection, and meaning.

Nora is currently a student therapist in the Master of Christian Studies in Marriage and Family Therapy program at the university. She enjoys spending her leisure time in nature. She’s passionate about equipping herself to provide affordable, high-quality therapy to community members. She wholeheartedly believes that everyone deserves to feel heard, seen, and understood. She supports those she works with in fostering positive changes through Emotional Focus Therapy, grounded in attachment theory, while providing unconditional positive regard, empathy, and congruence.

Peggy is a student in the Masters of Marriage & Family Therapy at Trinity Western University. She is studying from a family systems theory and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) approach. Peggy brings a warm and empathetic presence, believing that exploration, healing, and meaningful change is cultivated in a safe space, with a safe presence. She believes each person holds multiple narratives that have led them to where they are and who they are, deserving to be heard, witnessed, and understood. Through a collaborative and person-centred approach, Peggy hopes to journey with people of all backgrounds through self-exploration and discovery towards wholeness and meaningful change. Zhengbo (Emma) Jin

Zhengbo (Emma) Jin is a practicum student pursuing a Master’s of Marriage and Family Therapy at Trinity Western University. She is passionate about helping individuals and families discover their strengths and navigate life’s challenges. Her trauma-informed practice is grounded in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Satir’s systemic approach. She helps clients cultivate deeper self-awareness, emotional regulation, and resilience. Additionally, her training in sand tray play therapy expands her ability to support children who express themselves in unique and nonverbal ways.
